On Feb.12, CCTV Weekly Quality Report reported SQI’s risk monitoring result on geothermal floor on formaldehyde emission at different temperatures. Project leader from SQI Institute of Quality Inspection of Building Materials and Decoration of Furniture accepted the interview and introduced the details to the audience.

The project was based on the entrustment by SMBQTS for risk monitoring on the formaldehyde emission of geothermal floor according to the GB 18580-2001 and GB/T 17657-2013.

As a result, it was found that the formaldehyde emission of all floor samples at normal temperature was in accordance with the national standards. But with the increase of the testing temperature, formaldehyde emission was differentiated. SMBQT has published consumer warning to guide the consumer how to choose safety geothermal floor.
