Recently, Mr.Gao Wenjian, bicycle testing engineer of SQI was interviewed by China Quality Daily on the topic of illegal modification of non-standard electric bicycles.  The interview was published on the livelihood sector on March 9th edition.

Mr.Gao Wenjian introduced SQI conducted inspection on electric bicycle in accordance with the national and Shanghai specifications. He also introduced the illegal modification of non-standard electric bicycles condition and its danger to the users.

Shanghai Municipal Quality Supervision Bureau experts said that illegal-modified electric bicycle was against the law, and the over fast speed of modified electric, it was easily leading to brake failure and causing dangerous sideslip and was a serious threat to the personal safety of consumers.
