On July 25, Dr. Martin Kanert, executive chairman of European Printing Ink Association (EuPIA), Dr. Joerg-Peter Langhammer, Vice president of product safety and sustainable development department of Siegwerk Shanghai and EuPIA delegation visited SQI for communication. Mrs. Bi Ning, Vice president of SQI and Mrs. Zhang Ruohong, executive vice president of Shanghai Food Contact Materials Association attended the reception meeting.

Mrs. Bi Ning introduced the general situation, organization structure, and capability and qualification condition to the guests. He also introduced SQI’s achievement in fulfilling the responsibilities of government laboratories, carrying out energy-saving emission reduction, responding to unexpected incidents, implementing risk monitoring and promoting the construction of quality work. Then, person in charge of Institute of Quality Inspection of Light Industry and Chemical Products of SQI introduced the concept, classification, relevant regulations and standards of food contact ink to the guest. She also introduced SQI’s achievement in supervise spot check, risk monitoring and hazard investigation on food contact ink. Dr. Martin Kanert shared the experience of EuPIA in the control of product safety, service for enterprises and industry standards development.

At last, participants discussed warmly on the product safety and regulations, testing methods, standards setting and product development prospects of food contact inks and hoped to carry out multi angle cooperation in the field of food contact ink in the future and to jointly enhance the industry level and ensure product quality and safety.
